LeAnn Rimes tackles holiday album and tour
LeAnn Rimes fans can look forward to a new holiday album and tour from the singer this year, but will have to wait untill early 2005 for her latest collection of all-new material.
Rimes had originally planned to release both albums--the holiday set "What a Wonderful World" and new studio collection, "This Woman"--on Oct. 12. That date remains intact for "Wonderful World," but "This Woman"--which was first pushed back to Nov. 2--is now slated for a Jan. 25 release, according to Rimes' website.
A message posted at the site said the singer decided to delay the release so that she wouldn't have to divide her time between launching the sets and fulfilling her current touring commitments, which include an in-progress European outing and upcoming U.S. dates.
"['This Woman'] is very close to LeAnn's heart and represents her, and she wants to give this album the time and effort it deserves," reads the message.
Despite the delay, the first single from "This Woman"--"Nothin' Bout Love"--is already at radio stations. The song's lyrics and an MP3 sample of the cut are posted at Rimes' website.
Meanwhile, Rimes follows the Oct. 12 release of "What a Wonderful World"--an 11-track set of holiday classics--with a holiday outing that so far runs from mid-November through late December. A one-off October performance in Ft. Worth, TX, is also on the schedule. Details are shown below.
