Green Day begins mapping fall arena tour
With the trio's new album nearing release, Green Day has lined up a series of October and November concerts at arenas and other large concert halls throughout North America.
The California pop-punkers--who are so far scheduled to visit 18 cities--will be joined on the tour by New Found Glory and Sugarcult.
Before launching the arena tour, Green Day kicks off support of their forthcoming album, "American Idiot," with a September mini-tour that touches down at clubs in Los Angeles, Chicago, New York and Toronto. The group is also scheduled to appear at October's Voodoo Music Festival in New Orleans.
"American Idiot," Green Day's first collection of new material since 2000's "Warning," is scheduled to hit stores on Sept. 21.
The title track from "American Idiot," which serves as the album's first single, is streaming at Green Day's official website, along with the song's music video.
