They Might Be Giants set new round of U.S. concerts
They Might Be Giants , which recently wrapped up a coast-to-coast tour, will set out next month on another round of U.S. shows.
The duo--John Linnell and John Flansburgh--kick things off in Albany on Sept. 17, and are currently scheduled to cap the trek with a two-night stand in New York City. The itinerary so far focuses on the Northeast and the South. Details are shown below.
The new stretch of U.S. shows follows a handful of early September U.K. performances, all of which support TMBG's 10th album, "The Spine." The set, which surfaced in mid-July, is the follow-up to the 2002 children's album "No!," and is TMBG's first rock album since 2001's "Mink Car."
Linnell and Flansburgh co-produced "The Spine" with Pat Dillett, who also worked on TMBG's platinum 1990 album, "Flood."
In conjunction with "The Spine," the band has issued an EP titled "The Spine Surfs Alone," which is available exclusively at shows and via TMBG's website.
