Vince Gill and Amy Grant plotting annual holiday tour
Husband-and-wife team Vince Gill and Amy Grant have begun laying the groundwork for their fourth annual holiday outing.
The duo kicks off the run--dubbed "Simply Christmas"--in Florida on Dec. 1, and winds up back in that state for the Dec. 19 finale. Details are shown below.
Comedian Henry Cho, who toured with Gill and Grant last year, will again open the show.
In addition to their holiday jaunt, Gill and Grant have a series of Canadian co-headlining dates planned for September, as well as a number of their own individual shows. The various itineraries are included below.
Gill and Grant mounted their first joint Christmas tour in 2001, and have each embarked on their own holiday outings in the past. Each has also recorded successful Christmas albums, with combined sales totals of more than nine million albums, according to a press release.
On Oct. 12, Grant will issue "Amy Grant's Greatest Hits," 20-song best-of set that will include two previously unreleased cuts. The complete tracklisting is posted at Grant's website.
Plans are also in the works for a "Greatest Hits" DVD, featuring music videos and live material, according to the site.
Gill's most-recent release is last year's "Next Big Thing." The title track garnered the singer a Best Male Country Vocal Performance trophy at this year's Grammy Awards.
