Keith Urban sets up fall headlining tour
Keith Urban teams with country music channel CMT during a fall outing dubbed "CMT on Tour: Keith Urban Be Here '04."
The run kicks off in early October, and so far stretches into mid-November. More dates will be announced shortly, according to a press release. The itinerary is shown below.
According to organizers, Urban's set list will encompass material from throughout his career--including his first No. 1 hit, "But for the Grace of God"--and will also feature tracks from his latest release, last year's "Golden Road." Cuts from the album include "Somebody Like You," "Who Wouldn't Wanna Be Me," "Rainin' on Sunday" and latest single "Days Go By," which sits at No. 4 on Billboard's latest Hot Country Singles & Tracks chart.
Singer/songwriter Katrina Elam--whose self-titled debut is due out on Oct. 5--will open the show. The album's first single, "No End in Sight," recently hit radio stations.
Earlier this year, Urban's "You'll Think of Me"--another cut from "Golden Road"--became his fourth No. 1 single, and his seventh consecutive Top 5 single in the U.S., according to his website. The Australian native "now joins Air Supply as one of the only two Australian acts in history to have achieved seven consecutive Top 5 singles in the U.S.," reads a message posted at the site.
Urban self-produced half of "Golden Road," and co-produced the other half.
"I'm a little more comfortable in [the producer's] role," he said last year in an interview with liveDaily. "I love being in the studio. It's something I've always loved doing. I'm not one of the artists who comes in and just does my bit. I'm there every second of every day."
