Steven Curtis Chapman gears up for new album, tour
Steven Curtis Chapman follows the upcoming release of a new album with a busy U.S. tour schedule.
Chapman, whose "All Things New" lands in stores on Sept. 21, kicks off the jaunt a month later, and dates so far extend into mid-December. Details appear below.
The trek is expected to run through April, and will make stops in more than 65 cities, according to a press release. Fellow Christian acts Chris Tomlin and Casting Crowns occupy the tour's opening slots.
Chapman's setlist will include material from his new album, as well as hits culled from throughout his 17-year recording career, according to organizers.
"All Things New" is Chapman's fourteenth album for Sparrow Records. In a press release, the multiple-Grammy winner talked about the album's title.
"Lately I've come to realize that God will forever be making all things new," Chapman said. "I'm only starting to know who God really is because He continues to reveal more and more of Himself to me every day. He gives us new seasons, He gives us a new 24 hours each day, He gives us a new sunrise."
