Fall tour dates surface for Tim McGraw
Tim McGraw 's current round of tour dates wraps up on Friday (8/6), but the country singer won't be off the road for long.
McGraw and his band, The Dancehall Doctors, have unveiled a new batch of shows that kicks off on Aug. 19 and stretches well into October. The group, which has spent its summer on the outdoor amphitheater circuit, will instead hit indoor arenas this time around. Details are shown below.
The Warren Brothers and Big & Rich, who are currently opening for McGraw, will continue to do so during the fall run.
Members of McGraw's fan club will have the opportunity to purchase tickets before they go on sale to the general public, according to McGraw's website. More information is available at the site.
McGraw will continue to donate $1 from each ticket sold through his website to the charities Swampstock and Gridiron Heroes Spinal Cord Injury Organization.
The singer's plans also include an Aug. 27 performance in New York City's Bryant Park as part of the "Good Morning America" summer concert series.
McGraw's new leg of touring gets underway just a few days before the Aug. 24 release of "Live Like You Were Dying," the follow-up to 2002's multi-platinum "Tim McGraw and The Dancehall Doctors." The forthcoming album's title track recently became McGraw's 23rd career No. 1 hit, according to a press release.
On Oct. 15, McGraw makes his motion-picture debut in the film "Friday Night Lights."
