Tim McGraw to follow summer tour with fall outing
Tim McGraw , whose latest round of U.S. tour dates wraps up early next month, won't be off the road for very long.
McGraw and his band, The Dancehall Doctors, have penciled in mid-August launch for a late-summer/fall outing that, unlike their current jaunt--which is booked into outdoor venues--will make stops at indoor arenas.
A full itinerary has not yet surfaced, but the Aug. 19 kick-off will take place in Baton Rouge, LA, followed by an Aug. 20 stop in Memphis, TN, and an Aug. 21 stop in Pensacola, FL; the trek will end prior to the Oct. 15 debut of McGraw's first major motion picture, "Friday Night Lights," according to organizers.
The Warren Brothers and Big & Rich, who are currently opening for McGraw, will continue to do so during the fall run.
Members of McGraw's fan club will have the opportunity to purchase tickets before they go on sale to the general public, according to McGraw's website. Details are available at the site.
McGraw will continue to donate $1 from each ticket sold through his website to the charities Swampstock and Gridiron Heroes Spinal Cord Injury Organization.
On Aug. 24, McGraw releases "Live Like You Were Dying," the follow-up to his multi-platinum 2002 set, "Tim McGraw and The Dancehall Doctors."
