Usher unveils lengthy tour itinerary
Usher , who last month revealed a handful of dates for his upcoming tour with Kanye West , has coughed up the full itinerary for the run.
The jaunt kicks off in Virginia on Aug. 5 and hits arenas throughout the U.S. well into October. Details appear below.
Tickets for several shows are on sale now. Members of Usher's official fan club have access to ticket pre-sales, according to the singer's website.
The outing supports Usher's latest album, "Confessions," which has logged nine weeks at No. 1 on The Billboard 200 album chart, and is currently spending its fourth-consecutive week at No. 2. The set has sold more than 5 million copies, according to Billboard.
Usher precedes the tour's launch with a July 30 performance in New York City's Bryant Park as part of the "Good Morning America" summer concert series.
Last week, Usher picked up two BET Awards: Best Male R&B Artist and Viewer's Choice for "Yeah," a cut from "Confessions."
Kanye West is backing his solo debut, "The College Dropout." Prior to stepping into the spotlight, West made a name for himself as a writer and producer, and worked with artists including Britney Spears, Jay-Z, Alicia Keys, Mos Def. He signed with Roc-A-Fella Records in 2002.
Released on Feb. 10, "The College Dropout" debuted at No. 2 on The Billboard 200 album chart and has been certified platinum for shipping more than a million copies.
