Sevendust [ tickets ] enlists fellow Florida-based metal outfit Nonpoint [ tickets ] for a July swing through the eastern U.S.

The jaunt kicks off on Thursday (7/8) in South Carolina, and runs until July 29. RA and Travesty Theory hold down the opening slots.

Sevendust and Nonpoint will also share the stage with Hoobastank, Fuel, Cypress Hill and others at the K Rockathon festival at the Cayuga County Fairgrounds in Weedsport, NY, on July 30.

In addition to their plans with Nonpoint, Sevendust is scheduled to play a July 15 show at the House of Blues in Orlando, and give a July 31 performance in Latrobe, PA, as part of the Rolling Rock Town Fair. Details are shown below.

Sevendust is backing "Southside Double-Wide Acoustic Live," was recorded during its Sept. 12, 2003 performance in Athens, GA. Released in early May, the acoustic album is the follow-up to Sevendust's most-recent studio effort, last October's "Seasons."

Nonpoint delivers its third major-label album, "Recoil," on Aug. 3. The set, which is the group's first release for Lava Records, features the cut "The Truth," which recently was the No. 1 most-added track at active rock radio, according to the band's website.
