Snoop Dogg works on new CD, readies for Projekt Revolution
The set is tentatively titled "R&G (Rhythm & Gangsta): The Masterpiece," according to Geffen Records. It will be the follow up to 2002's "Paid Tha Cost To Be Da Boss," which spawned the No. 1 hit "Beautiful."
Snoop Dogg, who is serving as the forthcoming album's executive producer, is once again collaborating with production duo The Neptunes, which had a hand in "Beautiful." The new set will also feature a collaboration with Gap Band founder Charlie Wilson.
The Linkin Park-led Projekt Revolution tour launches in Cincinnati on July 23, and will travel the U.S. amphitheater circuit through early September. Other main stage acts include Korn, The Used and Less than Jake.
Besides the main-stage acts, Projekt Revolution will also feature second-stage performers Ghostface, Downset, M.O.P. and Funeral for a Friend. The tour's website lists the band lineup for each city.
