Travis Tritt works the road, new album due
Travis Tritt , who has been on the road consistently since this spring, has beefed up his tour schedule in advance of the release of his forthcoming album.
The country singer/songwriter is scheduled to play a mix of headlining and festival shows through early October.
Columbia Records has set an Aug. 17 release for "My Honky Tonk History," Tritt's follow-up to 2002's "Strong Enough." The new set includes the single "The Girl's Gone Wild," which is streaming at his official website
Among the other tracks on "My Honky Tonk History" are "What Say You"--a duet with John Mellencamp--and "Gone Too Far to Turn Around," which he co-wrote with Gretchen Wilson, who also sings backup on the song.
Tritt is scheduled to appear on Dennis Miller's CNBC talk show on Thursday (6/24), and recently did an interview for PBS's "The Tavis Smiley Show," which will air on Friday (6/25).
