Notorious B.I.G.'s 'Ready To Die' gets reissue treatment
Bad Boy Records will issue an expanded and digitally remastered version of slain rapper The Notorious B.I.G. 's 1994 album "Ready To Die" on July 13.
The new edition of "Ready To Die" features "crisper and clearer sound compared to the original CD," according to Bad Boy. In addition to the original album tracks, the expanded edition includes the previously unreleased tracks "Dreams" and "Who Shot Ya."
A DVD included with the package features the music videos for "Juicy," "One More Chance" and "Big Poppa," as well as the long version of "Warning." It also includes a previously unavailable live outdoor performance of "Unbelievable," which was recorded at a 1994 OutKast event in Atlanta.
The original version of "Ready To Die" has sold more than 4 million copies to date, according to Bad Boy.
The Notorious B.I.G.--whose real name was Christopher Wallace--would have been 32 years old on May 21. He was shot and killed in March 1997 outside the Petersen Automotive Museum in Los Angeles. Police haven't made any arrests in the case.
B.I.G. was the first rapper signed to Sean "P. Diddy" Combs' Bad Boy Entertainment label in 1993.
