Metallica hammers out more fall tour dates
Metallica , which will soon wrap up the second leg of its North American tour behind last year's "St. Anger," has nailed down a number of new dates for its late-summer swing through the continent.
The group's latest batch of shows includes stops in Fargo, ND; Green Bay, WI; Washington, DC; Boston; Tampa, FL; Pensacola, FL; and New Orleans. Tickets for all seven shows will hit the box on May 15. Details are shown below.
Members of Metallica's official fan club have access to fan-club-only tickets. Details are available at the fan club's website.
Boston-based rockers Godsmack , who hold down the opening slot on the current North American leg, have signed on for most of the third-leg dates.
Later this month, Metallica kicks off a European tour that runs into July.
"St. Anger," Metallica's first collection of all-new material since 1997, surfaced last June. The title track won this year's Grammy Award for Best Metal Performance.
Godsmack released its latest full-length, "Faceless," in April of 2003. In March, the band released an acoustic EP titled "The Other Side"; the set features unplugged versions of previously released material, as well as several new cuts.
