Metallica adds more summer and fall dates to U.S. tour
Dates continue to surface for Metallica 's current tour behind last year's "St. Anger," which now stretches into late November.
The group--which has opted to reveal new dates one at a time over the past few months--has added stops in Rosemont, IL; Austin, TX; San Antonio, TX; and Duluth, GA. Tickets for all four shows will go on sale this month. Details appear below.
Members of Metallica's official fan club have access to fan-club-only tickets. Details are available at the fan club's website.
Last month, the Bay Area-based group received three nominations for this year's California Music Awards: Outstanding Hard Rock Album ("St. Anger"), Outstanding Guitarist (Kirk Hammett) and Outstanding Drummer (Lars Ulrich). The awards ceremony takes place on June 6 in Oakland; the band will be touring Europe at that time.
"St. Anger," Metallica's first collection of all-new material since 1997, surfaced last June. The title track won this year's Grammy Award for Best Metal Performance.
