Reunited Pixies filling tour schedule for fall, winter

The Pixies , who this weekend will wrap up their first round of tour dates since 1992, continue to add shows to a second North American outing that launches in September.

The fall/winter tour so far is scheduled to play a mix of headlining and festival dates in about 20 cities. Tickets for some of the just-announced shows will go on sale in the coming days, according to the band's publicist; details are in the itinerary below.

The shows will feature the original Pixies line-up: vocalist/guitarist Frank Black (a.k.a. Black Francis and Charles Thompson), guitarist Joey Santiago, bassist Kim Deal and drummer David Lovering. The group last played together in 1992, when it was an opening act on U2's Zoo TV tour.

On Saturday (5/1), the band appears at the Coachella Festival in Indio, CA, concluding a three-week North American jaunt. A tour of Europe will follow.

Tickets for all of the group's spring North American dates sold out within minutes, and all 19,000 tickets for the band's four London performances sold out in less than two hours, according to the group's publicist.
