Daryl Hall, John Oates and Michael McDonald have added more shows to an already-busy schedule for their upcoming co-headlining run.
The outing--dubbed the Rock N Soul Revue Tour--kicks off in Tampa on June 23, and will hit more than 40 cities by its end. Shows are now confirmed into October.
Average White Band holds down the opening slot.
Each concert will clock in at more than three hours and will "feature a collection of rock, soul and funk classics covering the past, the present and everything in between," according to a press release. Also planned is a "Rock N Soul Revue" that will "feature soulful surprises that will be sure to please both new and old fans alike."
Tickets for a number of shows are now available to the general public, while registered users of the tour's online ticketing service have access to a number of ticket pre-sales that are set to take place in April and May, according to McDonald's website.
Hall & Oates are supporting last year's "Do It for Love," which is the duo's 21st album, and first new studio effort since 1997's "Marigold Sky." The set features the singles "Forever for You," "Man on a Mission" and the album's title track.
The duo is currently in production on a soul album that will "feature their patented blend of Philly style soul and melding harmonies on favorite classics as well as original material," according to a press release. Tentatively titled "Our Kind of Soul," the set is slated for a fall 2004 release.
McDonald continues to back last June's "Motown," which features the baritone-voiced singer/keyboardist's interpretations of Motown classics such as "I Heard It Through the Grapevine," "Sign, Sealed, Delivered I'm Yours," "How Sweet It Is (To Be Loved by You)" and "Ain't No Mountain High Enough." The album recently went platinum, signifying U.S. shipment of a million copies.
Average White Band recently issued its first new studio album in six years, "Living In Colour." The set is currently available only at the band's live shows and via the group's website.
