Though the outing won't launch for more than four months, pop-punk trio Green Day [ tickets ] have confirmed that they will be on the bill of this year's Warped Tour. The band hasn't toured for more than two years, when it was supporting the double-platinum release "Nimrod."

The remainder of the Warped bill is being assembled, and a tour itinerary will be released "in the coming weeks," according to Green Day's publicist.

Green Day is scheduled to enter the studio with producer Scott Litt (REM) in March, and Reprise Records plans to release a new album in October.
