Madonna adds repeat performances to meet demand
With tickets for her upcoming tour selling at a fast clip, Madonna has added additional shows to her stops in a number of cities.
Tickets are due to hit the box office over the next few days for additional performances in the Los Angeles area; the Boston area; Chicago; Sunrise, FL; and Miami. Details are shown below.
Also imminent are ticket on-sales for previously announced stops in San Jose, CA; Washington, DC; and Atlanta, as well as a newly added stop in East Rutherford, NJ.
Tickets for a second Philadelphia show are on sale now.
Madonna has already posted sell-outs for two shows in the L.A.-area; two shows in Las Vegas; six shows in New York City; two shows in the Boston area; three shows in Chicago; three shows in Toronto; and single shows in Philadelphia; Sunrise, FL; and Miami.
Members of Madonna's ICON fan club have access to ticket pre-sales. More information is available at Madonna's website.
High-priced ticket packages for all dates on the tour are currently available from Madonna's 2004 Re-Invention Tour Platinum Ticket Packages website. Priced at $700 per person, the packages include "1 excellent top price level seat, VIP laminate, VIP special entrance to the venue, limited edition collectible tour poster [and an] onsite individual to assist package purchasers," according to the site.
Madonna launches the outing in Los Angeles on May 24, and will focus on major markets. In addition to her North American dates, stops are also scheduled in London and Paris. Plans are in the works for additional shows in Israel, and Ireland, and more dates will be announced, according to a press release.
Madonna last toured in 2001, an outing that grossed $54.7 million from just 28 North American dates, according to concert industry trade magazine Pollstar.
According to her publicist, Madonna has sold more than 250 million albums during the course of her two-decade career, and has charted more Top 10 singles than any female artist.
