Christina Aguilera, Chingy pair up for North American tour

Christina Aguilera kicks off a spring/summer tour of the U.S. and Canada in May, with rapper Chingy holding down the opening slot in all cities.
Last summer, Aguilera teamed with fellow pop star Justin Timberlake for the Justified and Stripped Tour, which visited more than 40 cities. The North American outing grossed $31.8 million and was one of the year's 20 top-grossing tours, according to Pollstar.
Aguilera continues to support her triple-platinum, 2003 release," "Stripped," which she co-wrote and co-produced.
Earlier this year, the "Stripped" track "Beautiful" picked up a Grammy award in the Best Female Pop Vocal Performance category. Aguilera performed the song during the ceremony.
The Aguilera concert-DVD "Stripped ... Live in the U.K." hit stores in April. The show was taped last November at London's Wembley Arena, and later broadcast on the WB television network.
Chingy is backing his double-platinum, 2003 album, "Jackpot," which spawned the hits "Right Thurr," "Holidae In" and "One Call Away."
