Hatebreed, Damageplan, Drowning Pool head up Headbangers Ball Tour

MTV2's second Headbangers Ball Tour will feature co-headliners Hatebreed , Damageplan , Drowning Pool and show-openers Unearth .

The quartet of metal acts kicks things off in South Carolina on March 25, and dates stretch into early May. Tickets for a number of dates are on sale now.

Connecticut-based Hatebreed--which features frontman and "Headbangers Ball" host Jamey Jasta--is backing its third studio set, "The Rise of Brutality." The album features the cut "This Is Now."

Streaming versions of "This Is Now," "Live for This" and "Doomsayer" are posted at the album's official website.

Jasta said in a statement that his vocal delivery on "The Rise of Brutality" differs from that on the band's previous works.

"The vocals are a little bit lower and the approach a little bit more in your face and maniacal," he said. "I also tried to enunciate more."

Damageplan--featuring Pantera's Dimebag Darrel (guitar) and Vinnie Paul (drums)--is supporting its debut album, "New Found Power," which landed in stores last month.

Drowning Pool--whose original frontman, Dave Williams, died in 2002--is currently in the studio with new singer Jason "Gong" Jones. The group is working on a new album, titled "Desensitized." A new cut,"Step Up," which will appear on the forthcoming soundtrack for "The Punisher," is streaming at the group's website.

Unearth recently cut a deal with Metal Blade Records, and will issue its debut set in June, according to a press release.

Hatebreed and Unearth will follow the Headbangers Ball Tour with slots on this summer's Ozzfest.

MTV2's inaugural Headbangers Ball Tour took place last fall, and featured Killswitch Engage, Lamb of God and Shadows Fall.
