Rush unveils itinerary for 30th anniversary tour

Rush has hammered out the details for the North American leg of its upcoming 30th anniversary tour.

The outing kicks off in Nashville on May 28, and wraps up on the Canadian power-trio's home turf in late August. Ticket on-sale information was not available at press time.

Members of the group's fan club will get a shot at tickets before the general public, according to the band's website.

The group will follow the North American jaunt with a European tour, the first handful of dates for which are set in early September; the run will mark the band's first Euro outing in more than a decade.

Rush is not expected to release any new material prior to the tour. The band's most-recent studio effort is 2002's "Vapor Trails," its first collection of all-new material since 1997.

In October, the group offered up the live two-DVD and three-CD set "Rush in Rio," which it recorded in Rio de Janeiro, Brazil, on the final night of its 2002 "Vapor Trails" tour. The release was recently nominated for a Juno Award, the Canadian equivalent of the American Grammys.

Rush's self-titled debut surfaced on Mercury Records in 1974.
