George Strait's "Latest Greatest Straitest Hits" Debuts At No. 2

Country's George Strait has found himself near the top of the haystack this week, as his new album "Latest Greatest Straitest Hits" debuts at No. 2 on the Billboard 200 album chart and at No. 1 on the Billboard Top Country albums chart. The singer-guitarist's single, "The Best Day," is currently at No. 2 on Billboard's Hot Country Singles chart.

According to Soundscan, "Latest Greatest" (MCA Nashville) sold 182,000 copies this week. Santana's ''Supernatural'' came in ahead at 343,000 copies, putting it at No. 1 on the Billboard 200.

Strait's third country music festival tour will begin on April 29 in Charlotte, where tickets have already gone on sale. The show will travel to nine other stadiums through June 11, but won't go west of Dallas. Other performers include Mark Chesnutt, Tim McGraw, Martina McBride, Kenny Chesney, Lee Ann Womack, and Asleep at the Wheel.
