Fleetwood Mac unveils plans for spring tour
Fleetwood Mac , which last year issued its first album of all-new material in more than a decade, continues to work the tour trail in 2004.
The group, which heads Down Under for an Australian tour this month, returns to the U.S. circuit in early May, beginning with a May 8 show in Madison, WI. Dates and cities--but not venues--were available at press time. Details appear in the itinerary below.
Members of the group's fan club have access to ticket pre-sales, the first of which launches on Wednesday (2/11) for tickets to the tour's May 9 stop in Champaign, IL.
The fan-club offering features two different ticket packages, according to the group's website: the first--dubbed the "Bronze Presale"--includes a ticket in the first 30 rows, priced at face value plus a $10 service charge; the second--the "Platinum Package"--features tickets in the first five rows, an exclusive T-shirt and VIP laminate, an autographed tour book, a $25 coupon for the band's online store, and a VIP backstage tour that does not include a meet-and-greet with the band, priced at $500.
On-sale information for the general public wasn't available at press time.
The band continues to support last April's "Say You Will," which is the first Fleetwood Mac studio album since 1986's "Tango in the Night" to feature Stevie Nicks, Lindsey Buckingham, Mick Fleetwood and John McVie. Keyboardist-vocalist Christine McVie has retired from the group.
