Bryan Adams plots string of U.S. concerts

Singer-songwriter Bryan Adams , who hasn't released a new collection of solo material in almost six years, nonetheless continues performing for audiences.

Adams' itinerary so far features a handful of March and May U.S. dates, tickets for most of which are on sale now. Confirmed shows are listed in the itinerary below; additional dates are posted at Adams' website, where they are listed as "to be confirmed."

Adams has not released a new solo album since 1998's "On a Day Like Today," but he did contribute 15 new songs to the 2002 soundtrack to the Disney film "Spirit: Stallion of Cimarron."

According to a spokesperson, Adams is working on a new album that will likely surface later this year, but a release date remains pending.

Last June, Adams issued "Live at the Budokan," a two-DVD and single-CD collection that captures his June 2000 performance at the famous Japanese venue.

A Canadian native, Adams rose to fame in the '80s, and is best known for a catalog of hits that includes "Straight from the Heart," "Cuts Like a Knife," "This Time," "Run to You," "Summer of '69" and "It's Only Love" and "(Everything I Do) I Do It for You."
