Phish sets three Las Vegas appearances for April

Phish --in what the jam band says will be its only shows before the summer--will perform at Las Vegas' Thomas and Mack Arena on April 15, 16 and 17.

A limited number of tickets will be available through Phish's online ticketing system for a six-day period that begins on Friday (2/13) at 12:01 p.m. Eastern Time, according to the band's official website. Tickets go on sale to the public on March 6 at 10 a.m. Pacific Time.

As previously reported, Phish entered their Vermont studio last week with producer and engineer Tchad Blake (Los Lobos, Pearl Jam) to begin work on a new album that is expected to hit stores by mid-June.

Phish's most-recent studio album is 2002's "Round Room."

Meanwhile, Phish singer/guitarist Trey Anastasio has a new instrumental album in the can that he'll release on April 6. The set, titled "Seis de Mayo," features seven compositions that he wrote and recorded over the last two years.
