Briefly: House of Freaks, Ryan Adams, Snocore tour, Diana Krall
Expanded versions of two long-out-of-print, late-'80s House of Freaks albums--"Monkey on a Chain Gang" and "Tantilla"--will be reissued as limited editions on March 24.
The deluxe version of "Monkey" is augmented with live tracks recorded at the now-defunct Los Angeles club Raji's, as well as b-sides and outtakes.
The expanded edition of "Tantilla" will feature the 1989 EP "All My Friends," as well as demos and outtakes from the "Tantilla" sessions.
The CD pressing of each album will be limited to 2,500 copies, and will be available from rhinohandmade.com.
Ryan Adams broke his wrist when he fell six feet from the stage of the Royal Court Theatre in Liverpool, England, on Thursday (1/22), according to his official website.
He was hospitalized overnight, but no further information was immediately available.
Rockers Trapt will headline this year's Snocore tour, with Smile Empty Soul, Finger Eleven and Strata filling out the bill. The outing opens on March 4, but the remainder of the itinerary hasn't been confirmed.
Diana Krall 's fifth-annual fundraiser for Vancouver General Hospital's Leukemia/Bone Marrow Transplantation Program will take place on March 5. The sold-out event will feature her husband Elvis Costello and Elton John.
