Sting, Sean Paul, Martina McBride, Black Eyed Peas added to GRAMMY roster

GRAMMY-winner--and current nominee--Sting will perform with GRAMMY-nominated rapper Sean Paul at next month's GRAMMY Awards.

Martina McBride and Black Eyed Peas have also been added to the ceremony's performance roster, which already includes Justin Timberlake; Christina Aguilera; The White Stripes; and OutKast with George Clinton and Parliament Funkadelic, Earth, Wind & Fire and Robert Randolph & The Family Band.

Sting, who over the years has won 15 GRAMMY®s, is nominated this year for Best Pop Vocal Performance ("Send Your Love") and Best Pop Collaboration with Vocals ("Whenever I Say Your Name" with Mary J. Blige), and is also due to receive the MusiCares 2004 Person of the Year Award during this year's GRAMMY ceremony.

Sean Paul is nominated in the Best New Artist, Best Male Rap Solo Performance ("Get Busy") and Best Reggae Album ("Dutty Rock") categories.

McBride is vying for the Best Female Country Vocal Performance ("This One's for the Girls") and Best Short Form Music Video ("Concrete Angel"), while Black Eyed Peas are up for Record of the Year and Best Rap/Sung Collaboration ("Where Is the Love?" with Justin Timberlake).

The Recording Academy--the organization that runs the GRAMMYs--has also unveiled the names of several artists who will appear as presenters; among them are musicians Norah Jones, John Mayer and Pharrel Williams, and actors Sean Astin and Amber Tamblyn.

Jones was last year's big winner with a total of five trophies, including Record of the Year, Album of the Year and Best New Artist. Mayer was last year's recipient of the Best Male Pop Vocal Performance award.

Williams is nominated in six categories this year, including two in the Best Rap/Sung Collaboration category ("Beautiful" and "Frontin'"), two in the Best Rap Song category ("Beautiful" and "Excuse Me Miss"), as well as Album of the Year (as producer of Justin Timberlake's Justified) and Producer of the Year, Non-Classical as part of The Neptunes.

Astin is best known as of late for his portrayal of the character Samwise Gamgee in "The Lord Of The Rings," and Tamblyn is the star of the hit CBS series "Joan of Arcadia."
