The Crystal Method sets up album-release parties, tour dates

Electronica duo The Crystal Method drops the follow-up to 2002's "Tweekend," and gives fans an earful of the new material during album-release parties and a subsequent tour.

Book-ending the Jan. 13 release of the new album, titled "Legion of Boom," are a series of record-release parties that begin in Seattle on Jan. 8, and end in San Francisco on Jan. 25. The parties, at which "Legion of Boom" will be played in its entirety, will also feature giveaways, including a DTS 5.1 DVD sound-sampler, according to a spokesperson.

The pair--Ken Jordan and Scott Kirkland--are then due to launch a concert tour in late February. Dates so far focus on the western U.S. and Canada.

Details about the album-release parties and concert tour appear in the itinerary below.

Jordan and Kirkland will mark the Jan. 13 release of "Legion of Boom" with a release-day appearance at the Virgin Megastore in San Francisco, during which they'll sign copies of the new album. The pair will also be doing a short DJ set, according to their website.

"Legion of Boom" features The Crystal Method's latest single, "Born Too Slow." The track is available now on both vinyl and CD, both of which feature remixes by Deepsky, NuBreed and EK; the CD version features additional remixes by Erick Morillo.
