Canadian rock trio Rush [ tickets ] marks its 30th anniversary with a 2004 road trip that will include a run through the U.S.

Though an itinerary for the outing has yet to surface, a message posted at the band's official website confirms that band will mount a tour next year that will include stops in North America and Europe; the group hasn't toured Europe in more than 10 years.

During a Dec. 10 appearance on syndicated radio program "Rockline," Rush frontman Geddy Lee and guitarist Alex Lifeson said that the group would likely play about 30-35 dates in the U.S., and about 10 European shows.

Rush is not expected to release any new material prior to the tour. The band's most-recent studio effort is last year's "Vapor Trails," which is its first collection of all-new material since 1997.

In October, the group offered up the live two-DVD and three-CD set "Rush in Rio," which it recorded in Rio de Janeiro, Brazil, on the final night of its 2002 "Vapor Trails" tour.

Rush's self-titled debut surfaced on Mercury Records in 1974.
