Toby Keith continues 'Shock'N Y'all' with live shows in 2004
Country singer Toby Keith rides the momentum of his chart-topping album "Shock'N Y'all" into the New Year with another round of live dates.
Keith, currently enjoying some rare downtime, is slated to give a New Year's Eve performance in Nashville. After that, he'll recharge his batteries for two more weeks before launching a new round of U.S. shows on Jan. 15.
In addition to his live shows, Keith also keeps a high profile in the coming weeks thanks to a feature story in the Dec. 21 issue of GQ magazine, a Rolling Stone profile in early January, and television appearances on "The Tonight Show with Jay Leno" on Jan. 20, and "Larry King Live" on Jan. 21, according to Keith's website.
It's all part of Keith's support for "Shock'N Y'all," which surfaced in early November. The album--which takes its name from the U.S. Department of Defense's Iraqi-war catch phrase "shock and awe"--debuted at No. 1 on The Billboard 200 album chart, and currently sits atop Billboard's Top Country Albums for the third consecutive week.
"Shock'N Y'all" features the hit "I Love This Bar" and latest single "American Soldier." The cuts sit at Nos. 1 and 37 on Billboard's Hot Country Singles & Tracks chart.
On Saturday (12/13), CMT debuted the "American Soldier" music video, which Keith shot at Edwards Air Force Base in California.
