Foo Fighters To Perform At Radio Festivals

The Foo Fighters , who released their third album earlier this month, will turn up on the bills of several upcoming radio festival shows in December, but have no plans to headline their own North American tour until February. The band is currently on the road in Europe.

''There Is Nothing Left To Lose'' (Roswell) entered the Billboard 200 album chart two weeks ago at No. 10, and dropped to No. 29 the following week.

The festival jaunt begins in Boston, where the Foo Fighters will share the bill with Ben Harper and At The Drive-In. The show is part of WBCN's ''X-Mas Rave,'' which will take place at several clubs in the area. In Philadelphia, the ''FEASTival'' bill for WPLY features the Foos with Oasis , Beck , Moby and Stroke 9.

At ''Twisted 6,'' Q-101's holiday show in Chicago, the Foo Fighters will hook up with Moby, Blink 182 , Run DMC, Filter, Fiona Apple, Oasis and Bush. In Washington, D.C., ''HFSmas'' features Foo Fighters, Tori Amos and Beck. ''Snowball'' in Portland features Foo Fighters, Bush, Filter, Lit and System of a Down.

For ''Deck the Halls Ball '99'' in Seattle, the Foos are scheduled to appear with Bush, Beck, Filter, 311 and Staind. ''Live 105 Not So Silent Night'' in San Francisco will feature Foo Fighters with Bush, Blink 182, 311, and Filter. Sacramento's ''Really Big Show'' will include the Foo Fighters with 311, Lit, Marcy Playground, Incubus, Pennywise, Save Ferris and The Brodys.

The Foos are expected to appear at KROQ's ''Acoustic Christmas'' show in Los Angeles on Dec. 11, but the lineup and location for that event couldn't be confirmed.

The Foo Fighters' plans also include a Dec. 1 appearance on the VH1 Fashion Awards, which will be broadcast live on Dec. 5.
