Venues have been unveiled for more than a dozen dates on Britney Spears [ tickets ]' upcoming spring tour, along with ticket on-sale information.

Spears kicks off the North American tour behind her new album, "In the Zone," on March 2 in San Diego, and is scheduled to remain on the road through mid-April.

"I'm especially looking forward to bringing my tour to new markets and performing in front of fans that may not have had the opportunity to see any of my previous tours," Spears said in a statement.

According to Spears' website, tickets for about half of the shows on Spears' schedule will go on sale to the general market on Saturday (12/13) and Sunday (12/14); details are listed below. Venue and ticketing information hadn't been announced at press time for the remainder of the dates on Spears' itinerary.

Members of Spears' official fan club have the first shot at tickets via a pre-sale that is now underway. Details are posted on Spears' site.

Spears, who celebrated her 22nd birthday last week, last toured in 2002. The North American leg of grossed more than $30 million, according to concert-industry magazine Pollstar.

Released on Nov. 18, "In the Zone" sold 609,000 copies during its first week in stores, and debuted at No. 1 on The Billboard 200 album chart. The set marks Spears' fourth consecutive No. 1 album.
