Briefly: Red Hot Chili Peppers, Michael Jackson, Ruben Gonzalez, George Clinton, Rhode Island club fire

The Red Hot Chili Peppers have already lined up several performances in Europe for next summer, including some stops on the festival circuit.

The group is confirmed to play Nurburgring, Germany's Rock Am Ring Festival on June 5, followed by Nuremberg, Germany's Rock Im Park Festival on June 6.

Also on the band's June itinerary are appearances in Vienna, Paris and Amsterdam.

A document has surfaced showing that the Los Angeles County Department of Children and Family Services investigated allegations that Michael Jackson abused the boy who is now claiming that Jackson molested him, and found the charges to be unfounded.

According to a memo leaked to and published by the website The Smoking Gun, the boy and his brother both claimed that Jackson had not sexually abused them, and the boy's sister--who reportedly accompanied the boys during visits to Jackson's home--said she hadn't seen anything inappropriate.

Pianist Ruben Gonzalez , a Cuban musician who gained international fame late in life thanks to his work on the documentary film and album "Buena Vista Social Club," died of respiratory and renal failure on Monday (12/9). He was 84.

Funk musician George Clinton reportedly was arrested and charged with drug possession and possession of drug paraphernalia in Tallahassee, FL, on Saturday (12/6).

According to the Tallahassee Democrat, Clinton, 62, was approached by a police officer who thought he saw a man smoking marijuana in a parked car. Clinton allegedly admitted that he had "a little cocaine," and admitted ownership of a glass crack pipe the officer saw on the seat beside him.

Clinton was released on $2,650 bail.

The co-owners of a Rhode Island club that burned to the ground in February, killing 100 people who were inside to see the band Great White , were indicted on Tuesday (12/9) by a grand jury on multiple charges of involuntary manslaughter. The band's former tour manager, who allegedly lit the pyrotechnics that started the blaze, was also charged, according to the Providence Journal.

Members of Great White--one of whom died in the fire--were not charged.
