Pennywise looks ahead to 2004 tour plans
Pennywise will usher in the New Year during their upcoming swing through Australia, but the group returns to the U.S. club circuit in January.
So far, the punk rockers have lined up a batch of late-January dates in the southeastern U.S. The group is also slated to perform at radio-station festivals in Denver on Dec. 9 and in the Los Angeles area on Dec. 13. The latter gig is part of KROQ's Almost Acoustic Christmas, which will also feature performances from The Offspring, AFI, The Distillers, Thrice and others. Details are posted at KROQ's website.
Pennywise is supporting its latest album, "From the Ashes," which surfaced in early September. The 14-track set features the cuts "God Save the USA," "Waiting" and "Yesterdays," all of which are available as free mp3 downloads from Epitaph Records' website.
The enhanced "From the Ashes" CD contains video footage of the group recording the album, a live song from the group's 2002 performance at the Long Beach Arena, interviews with the band and a trailer for its forthcoming "Home Movies, Part Two" DVD, which the group plans to release "soon," according to a message posted at Epitaph's website.
