Fiona Apple's Tour To Swing Through The Southeast
Fiona Apple 's tour will roll through southeastern U.S. in early April as she continues to work the theater circuit in support of her sophomore album, "When the Pawn..." The recently confirmed tour leg will begin on April 9, and will follow a brief break at the conclusion of the tour's current West Coast swing.
Tickets for all of Apple's shows have gone on sale.
The new itinerary doesn't include a make-up date for Apple's Feb. 29 appearance at New York's Roseland Ballroom, which a crying Apple stopped after about 40 minutes because of sound and monitor problems.
Apple apologized for her behavior in an eight-page note that was posted on a fan-run website called Never is a Promise.
"I write this particular entry as the most humiliated form of myself," Apple's March 1 note began. "Last night I really f***ed up. It was the New York show, my home town, all my friends and family, and I couldn't even finish the show. I just couldn't hear myself at all on that stage, and I lost it. I just don't know how to put myself into something that is so obviously wrong. I couldn't continue with a show that was shaping up to be one of the most embarrassing experiences of my life. I couldn't.
"I am so f***ing sorry that I don't have whatever it takes to be 'professional' in a situation like that. I feel like I let everyone down, and made a fool of myself in front of everyone I respect. But I don't know what else I could've done. No doubt I'll get ridiculed in the reviews, and some people in that audience are probably very disappointed in me, and I'm so sorry."
