Cyndi Lauper returns 'At Last' with new album and tour

Cyndi Lauper serves up a new album of cover songs this month, and backs the set with live performances and in-store appearances.

The singer, who wraps up a brief round of tour dates in Miami on Friday (11/14), heads back out in mid-December for a new batch of club and theater shows.

During the interim downtime, Lauper releases "At Last" on Nov. 18. The set features her renditions of classic hits including The Righteous Brothers' "Unchained Melody," Burt Bacharach and Hal David's "Walk on By," Smokey Robinson's "You Really Got a Hold On Me," and the title track, originally recorded by Etta James.

Special guests on the album include Tony Bennett on "Makin' Whoopie," and Stevie Wonder, who plays harmonica on "Until You Come Back to Me," a track he once recorded.

Lauper launches the album with a release-day, in-store appearance at Tower Records on Broadway in New York City, where she'll perform and sign autographs.

A second in-store is set for Nov. 21 at the Virgin Megastore on Sunset Boulevard in West Hollywood, CA.
