Limp Bizkit and Korn team for XBOX-sponsored tour
Longtime cohorts Korn and Limp Bizkit back their new albums this fall with a brief jaunt dubbed the XBOX Live: Back 2 Basics Tour.
Sponsored by Microsoft's XBOX game system, the tour kicks off in Las Vegas on Nov. 12 and makes stops at 13 theaters in the U.S. and Canada by month's end. Korn is also set to play a sole headlining date in Seattle on Dec. 8, for which a venue is yet to be announced.
Contest winners in each city will get to play an XBOX game with a member of Korn, according to organizers.
"We're calling the tour Back 2 Basics because this is the way it was in the beginning with the two of us playing small halls," Korn frontman Jonathan Davis said in a statement. "We wanted to do something cool to launch our new album, 'Take a Look in the Mirror,' and with the new Limp Bizkit album out right now, it made sense for both of us."
"Take a Look in the Mirror," the follow-up to last year's "Untouchables," is due in stores on Nov. 25, and features the cut "Right Now," which is streaming at Korn's website.
Limp Bizkit's "Results May Vary" hit stores last month. The album, which is the group's first with new guitarist Mike Smith--who replaced original guitarist Wes Borland--features a cover of The Who's "Behind Blue Eyes," as well as the original cut "Eat You Alive."
