KISS and Aerosmith push co-headlining tour into winter
KISS and Aerosmith , who've been on the road together since early August, have extended their joint tour into December.
The rock legends have confirmed a handful of new November dates and a lone December stop, and plan to reveal more dates soon; tickets hit the box office on Tuesday (9/30) for new shows in Boston; New York City; Louisville, KY; and Grand Rapids, MI, according to Aerosmith's official fan club, website.
Both bands are offering special ticket packages for stops throughout the tour. Details are posted at the Aeroforceone website and at KISS's official website.
According to statistics posted at KISS's website, the tour has sold more than 300,000 tickets to date, and has grossed about $22.2 million.
KISS, which earlier this year cut a deal with Sanctuary Records to launch a new imprint dubbed KISS Records, recently released a two-disc live set and companion DVD titled "The KISS Symphony: Alive IV," which the group recorded during its Feb. 28 performance with Australia's Melbourne Orchestra.
Aerosmith, whose most-recent studio set is 2001's "Just Push Play," has been working on a blues-covers album that it plans to release early next year.
The Aerosmith-KISS outing continues on Tuesday in Colorado.
