Neil Young's 17th Bridge School show to feature Pearl Jam, Wilco, Willie Nelson
The concert is scheduled to take place on Oct. 25, with a second show tentatively set for Oct. 26. The order of the bands hasn't been announced.
Shoreline Amphitheater--the Mountain View, CA, venue that has hosted the vast majority of the previous 16 Bridge School shows--will again be the site for the concert. Tickets for the Oct. 25 event hit the market on Sunday (9/28) at 10 a.m. Pacific Time, promoters said.
Bridge School events typically feature acoustic performances, and unannounced acts often make surprise appearances. Last year's show featured James Taylor, Jack Johnson, Thom Yorke of Radiohead, Tenacious D, Foo Fighters, The Other Ones and Ryan Adams, among others.
The concert benefits the Bridge School, which serves severely speech-impaired children in the San Francisco Bay Area. Young's wife, Pegi, and Jim Forderer--both parents of children with severe speech and physical impairments--co-founded the school in 1986 along with Dr. Marilyn Buzolich.
