Pink issues follow-up to 'Missundaztood' in November
Pink , faced with the unenviable task of following up her huge-selling 2001 album "Missundaztood," turned heavily to Rancid 's Tim Armstrong when it came to record her forthcoming album, "Try This."
Armstrong co-wrote and produced most of the tracks on the upcoming set, due on Nov. 11, including the lead single, "Trouble." The cut is scheduled to hit radio later this month, along with a video directed by Sophie Miller (Pink's "Family Portrait," Coldplay's "In My Place"), according to Arista Records.
Other songs Armstrong co-wrote and produced for the new album include "Last to Know," "Tonight's the Night," "Oh My God" (featuring hardcore female rapper Peaches), "Save My Life," "Humble Neighborhoods," "Walk Away" and "Unwind."
The CD also includes "God is a DJ" (written and produced by Billy Mann) and "Love Song" (co-written by Pink with Dionne Warwick's son Damon Elliott, and produced by Elliott).
Linda Perry, Pink's main collaborator on "Missundaztood," produced three tracks for the new set: "Catch Me While I'm Sleeping" (written by Perry), "Waiting for Love" (co-written by Pink and Perry) and "Try Too Hard."
"Missundaztood"--which is certified quintuple-platinum for shipping more than 5 million copies in the U.S.--has sold 12 million copies worldwide, according to Arista Records.
