Briefly: Sting, Nelly Furtado, Avril Lavigne, David Crosby, Graham Nash

Sting will play an Oct. 4 charity show at New York's Hammerstein Ballroom on Oct. 5, where he's expected to preview material from his new album "Sacred Love," due on Sept. 30.

An allotment of tickets that was set aside for Sting Fan Club members has sold out, according to his website, but the remaining tickets will be sold via an online Ticketmaster auction, with net profits going to charity. (Ticketmaster is liveDaily's parent company.)

Winning bidders will also receive a free Sting Fan Club membership; more information is available at Sting's website.
