Styx [ tickets ], which spent the summer on the road with fellow classic rockers Journey and REO Speedwagon, sets out this fall on a series of headlining concerts.

After taking a month-long break, the group returns to the tour trail in late October for a loosely packed round of shows that are scattered through the end of the year. All but one of the dates confirmed so far are billed as "An Evening with Styx," sans any additional acts.

On New Year's Eve, however, Styx re-teams with REO Speedwagon for a co-headlining Las Vegas performance.

During the past several years, Styx and REO Speedwagon have toured together frequently, and in 2001 co-released the live set "Arch Allies."

Styx released its latest studio album, "Cyclorama," in February. The group's website is streaming the album in its entirety. Last month, A&M records issued "Styx - Rockers," a compilation of some of the heavier material that the group recorded for the label.
