Briefly: Limp Bizkit, Rolling Stones, iTunes, RIAA lawsuits, Lance Bass

Limp Bizkit debuted its forthcoming album, "Results May Vary," during a Saturday (9/6) listening party in London, and the group played a free outdoor show on the same day at London's Finsbury Park.

Among the tracks on the new album, which is due on Sept. 23, is a cover of The Who's "Behind Blue Eyes."

The Rolling Stones are now scheduled to perform in Beijing on Nov. 14, making up a show that was postponed in April due to SARS fears.

Apple Computer reports that it has sold more than 10 million songs via its iTunes Music Store since it went live in April. The company says the milestone download was of Avril Lavigne 's "Complicated."

The Recording Industry Association of America on Monday (9/8) launched its promised volley of lawsuits against people it suspects are distributing large numbers of copyrighted music files.

The RIAA, a trade group that represents major music companies, says it has so far sued 261 people it accuses of distributing an average of about 1,000 files apiece.

Lance Bass of 'NSync will be the official spokesperson for World Space Week, which is set for Oct. 4-10.

According to a press release, World Space Week events in the United States "will focus on the vital role math and science education play in creating tomorrow's space leaders and pioneers."

Bass will launch the effort with a youth competition dubbed "Lance's Lab," in which students will design a hypothetical International Space Station module for Bass to live and work in. Winners will meet Bass at an awards ceremony in early 2004.
