Def Leppard extends North American road trip into the fall
More tour dates continue to roll in for British rockers Def Leppard , whose in-progress North American tour now stretches into October.
The group, which is in the midst of a series of East Coast shows, takes a short break in early September before launching a two-week Canadian outing on Sept. 10 in Winnipeg. A round of western U.S. stops follows, and runs from late September into early October.
The late-summer/early-fall dates augment an ongoing North American run that kicked off in April. The jaunt supports Def Leppard's tenth album, last year's aptly titled "X." The set, which debuted at No. 11 on the Billboard 200 album chart, features the singles "Now" and "Long Long Way to Go," the latter of which surfaced in April.
Streaming versions of the "Now" and "Long Long Way to Go" music videos are posted at the band's website. The site also features a free MP3 download of the demo version of the "X" cut "Gravity," which the group originally titled "Perfect Girl."
"Although the basic rhythm and guitar tracks on this demo weren't changed much along the way," reads a message posted on the site, "the early version's lyrics and vocals (& arrangements) are unique enough to almost consider both versions two different tracks."
Def Leppard is best known for its '80s and early-'90s heyday, when it churned out multi-platinum sets such as "Pyromania," "Hysteria" and "Adrenalize."
