Rocker Andrew W.K. has announced a promotion in which he will place a personal phone call to 1,250 fans who purchase his forthcoming album, "The Wolf."

According to Island Records, the first 250 fans to pre-order the disc via Amazon.com or Andrew W.K.'s website from Aug. 25 through Sept. 18 will receive a personal call from the artist.

After the album's release on Sept. 9, he'll call 1,000 more fans, choosing 100 winners each week from those who register at his website using a unique code included on each disc.

Nickelodeon premieres "Romeo!," a sitcom starring rapper Master P and his son Lil' Romeo , on Sept. 13.

According to a press release, the program "follows Percy Miller (Master P), a single dad and music industry executive struggling to maintain a normal life for his children while managing his son's ambition to be a musical artist."

Los Angeles-area radio station KROQ pays tribute to its '80s roots on this year's Inland Invasion II concert, which is set for Sept. 20 at Southern California's Glen Helen Hyundai Pavilion. The confirmed lineup includes The Cure, Duran Duran , Echo & the Bunnymen, Violent Femmes, Psychedelic Furs, Bow Wow Wow, General Public, Marc Almond of Soft Cell, Berlin and Dramarama.

Contemporary acts Hot Hot Heat, Dashboard Confessional, Interpol and Fountains of Wayne are also on the bill.

The Boston Globe reports that Rhode Island prosecutors plan to seek involuntary manslaughter indictments against the owners of The Station nightclub in West Warwick, RI, and against Great White 's tour manager. It reportedly is unlikely that members of the band will face charges.

The Station burned to the ground earlier this year, killing 100 concertgoers. The fire was started by pyrotechnics that were illegally ignited on stage.
