Good Charlotte precedes studio work with new round of shows
Good Charlotte , which earlier this year toured the U.S. at the helm of the Honda Civic Tour, heads out on a fall headlining run before starting work on its next album.
The Maryland-based rock quintet has mapped out the first month-long leg of its fall run, which launches in mid-September and features openers Mest and Something Corporate. A second leg spanning from October into November will follow, with support from Eve 6 and Goldfinger.
The outing marks Good Charlotte's latest--and probably last--round of touring behind last year's "The Young and the Hopeless." The platinum-certified album has spawned the hits "The Anthem," "Lifestyles of the Rich & Famous" and "Girls & Boys."
Last month, Good Charlotte snagged nominations in the Best Group Video, Best Rock Video and Viewers Choice categories for this year's MTV Video Music Awards, all for the "Lifestyles of the Rich & Famous" video. The group is also among the acts scheduled to perform at the awards ceremony, which airs live from Radio City Music Hall in New York City on Aug. 28.
In June, Good Charlotte picked up the People's Choice Award for Favorite International Group at Canada's MuchMusic Video Awards.
