Journey spreads wings for latest headlining run

August 8, 2003 02:05 PM
Journey , whose triple-bill outing with fellow classic rockers Styx and REO Speedwagon wrapped up last week, heads back out later this summer for its own U.S. jaunt.

The bulk of the group's itinerary kicks off in mid-September, with dates so far set through early October. The group also has one late-August date in California lined up.

Tickets for several dates are already on sale, and a few others hit the box office on Friday (8/8) and Saturday (8/9). Details are posted at Journey's website.

Journey's most-recent release is "Red 13," a four-song EP that surfaced last November. MP3 samples of all four tracks are posted at the group's website.

The band's most-recent full-length album is 2001's "Arrival." No word on when the next full-length set might surface, but the band does plan to release sometime later this year a 30th anniversary DVD that will feature live and behind-the-scenes footage.

Earlier this summer, Journey's publicist announced that the group next year will receive a star on the Hollywood Walk of Fame.
