Jewel cranks up fall tour plans
Jewel has unveiled a month-long run of tour dates through the East and Midwest, as formal plans for a U.S. tour supporting her current release, "0304," begin to materialize.
The first leg's 21 shows begin Sept. 19 in North Charleston, SC. Additional shows in other areas of the country will be announced as routing firms up, according to Jewel's label, Atlantic Records. Jewel's official website is offering registrants advance access to the tour's Pepsi Arena stop in Albany, NY beginning Thursday (7/31), along with free Jewel merchandise with their ticket order.
Jewel will be on the West Coast next week for a pair of television tapings. Her performance on the Pepsi Smash live-performance series will be taped in Hollywood on August 5th, and an open call for audience members is underway through the production company's website. The following day, she'll return to "The Tonight Show with Jay Leno." Her Pepsi Smash performance will be broadcast on August 13th on the WB network.
