Destiny's Child Brings In Two Replacements

Two members female R&B vocal quartet Destiny's Child have left the band, and two new members have joined the group, Columbia Records announced. The reconfigured group makes its first appearance in a new video for the track "Say My Name."

Joining founding Destiny's Child members Beyoncé Knowles and Kelly Rowland are Farrah Franklin, 18, and Michelle Williams, 19. They will replace former Destiny's Child members LaTavia and LeToya. The reason for the changes weren't disclosed Friday (2/18).

Franklin danced in the video for the No. 1 Destiny's Child single, ''Bills, Bills, Bills.'' Williams met the group during a stint as a background singer for Monica, according to an announcement posted to the group's official website.

The new Destiny's Child lineup will attend the Grammy Awards, for which the group received two nominations, before embarking on March 5 for a two-week promotional tour of Europe. The group will return to the U.S. to perform a pair of Madison Square Garden concerts with Brian McKnight, as well as a spring tour.
